Michael van Gerwen thrashed Chris Dobey last night to seal his spot in the semi-finals of the PDC
World Darts Championship with Dimitri van den Bergh awaiting.
Speaking afterwards,
Wayne Mardle said that he looks 'a million dollars' despite not even being at his peak yet with multiple gears still to go for 'The Green Machine'.
"The one set he had off which was the fourth set, he didn't play well. Chris played worse and that was probably the opportunity," said Mardle on Sky Sports.
"Michael said he didn't play well the last two sets, the last set he averaged 106. How bad did that feel. He's just playing so well, he looks a million dollars. He's flowing, he's playing with a freedom that we don't see many players ever play with.
"Bear in mind, he's not peak Van Gerwen. This is just better than what we've seen in the previous 2-3 years. Whoever wins, it's going to take something strange for him not to win."
