Masters schedule revealed: Chisnall and Van Barneveld to open Masters weekend

Dave Chisnall will play Raymond van Barneveld in the first match of the 2018 Unibet Masters.

The top 16 seeds in the PDC Order of Merit meet in Milton Keynes from Friday January 26 to Sunday January 28. For the first time ever, the Masters will not feature Phil Taylor. The 2013 winner retired after defeat in the World Championship final. Seventh seed Chisnall takes on 10th seed van Barneveld first in the Friday evening session. That session also features world champion Rob Cross taking on Ian White.
Michael van Gerwen takes on Kim Huybrechts in the final tie of the first round, on the Saturday evening. The quarter-finals will be played in the Sunday afternoon session, with the semi-finals and final taking place in the evening.
All 16 competitors pick up a minimum of £5,ooo for taking part, with the winner taking home the £60,000 top prize. Top seed van Gerwen has claimed the title in the past three years. Last year, he defeated Gary Anderson 11-7 in a memorable final.
