Tomorrow at the Motorpoint Arena in Cardiff, the Premier League Darts 2024 kicks off. On the first day of play, Luke Humphries and Luke Littler will take on each other in a replay of the past World Darts Championship final.
Matthew Edgar, himself a former Tour Card holder and known for his youtube channel "Edgar TV," recently looked ahead to the tie for Sky Sports. "Seeing how he handles it week in and week out that's the thing," Edgar begins. "He's so good but there's question marks as well isn't there. Not from me! I'm fully on board the Luke Littler train."
Littler started this year with tournament wins in Bahrain and lost the final of the Dutch Darts Masters last weekend. "After the World Championship he didn't get a moment's rest but he keeps performing and amazing people. He's doing great," added Abigail Davies, darts commentator for Sky Sports.
"When he pinned double 12 for the nine, when he reeled in the big fish and showed he'd be good in a real game of charades as well by actually reeling it in," she laughs. "One of the most important things for me, at this point is the enjoyment he's getting from it."
