Max Hopp was the biggest casualty at the last sixteen of the PDC Europe Super League on Thursday night. 'The Maximiser' went down against Kai Gotthardt.
Dominik Gruellich also provided a surprise by eliminating Liam Maendl-Lawrance. Other favourites did manage to survive the last sixteen on Thursday night.
Tour Card holders Pascal Rupprecht and Daniel Klose did manage to join the last eight. Lukas Wenig, Nico Kurz, Dragutin Horvat and Niko Springer also advanced to the quarterfinals. On Friday evening, the quarter-finals, semifinals and finals will be played. The winner of this event gets to compete in the World Darts Championship.
