Luke Littler managed to get through 15/20 players in the inaugural showing of Beat Luke Littler, a special designed to see if amateurs could keep their cool under pressure to win £501,000, which was
won by Fallon Sherrock.
Sherrock was perhaps the first big-name player that Littler faced on the night, with David Wawrzewski and Zac Griffiths among others coming before. Pearse Mackle was the only other player who had a chance at getting near Littler with a bull-missed to seal the £501,000.
Sherrock came out late in the piece with The Queen of the Palace managing to beat Jarod Becker by a considerable margin in the fan vote to seal her spot, and she made it count. Criticism was levied at Sherrock and Netflix, given that she is already an established name in her being picked for the event beforehand, but she proved why she can do it on the big stage and was lauded by Littler afterwards.
"Yeah, brilliant. That's what one person had to do: win the bull and go out in 15 darts, and that's exactly what Fallon did," said Littler post-match gracious in defeat.

Littler added that he was praying that Sherrock was going to miss the dart so he could go forward to extend the run. But he didn't and went only a few players away, likely including Mitchell Lawrie, from denying someone £501,000.
But as it stands, it is
Fallon Sherrock who goes home £501,000 richer, and Littler loses out as the King of Darts is toppled by the Queen of the Palace.
"Obviously, I hit the 140 to leave 142. You know, she missed the first go at tops, so I was like, Give me a chance. But then she didn't, and yeah, world class."
He also chimed in that he would like to do it again next year and enjoyed every minute of it from the photoshoots and adverts, and so could we get Beat Luke Littler 2?
"Oh, I've enjoyed every bit of it. The advert, the photo shoots, just everything leading up to this. It's been good. Yeah, maybe Netflix; we can do it again next year.
