Michael Smith has terrifying experience with a shark during Arabian fishing adventure

Michael Smith got the fright of his life in Bahrain last week. During his free time, the 33-year-old Englishman decided to go Arabian fishing.

''It's Arabian fishing so there's no rod just line,'' Smith explained to Dan Dawson as part of ITV Sport's coverage of the Bahrain Darts Masters. ''Was only there two minutes and managed to tuck into a four foot shark!"

And then things almost went wrong for the former world champion. ''Didn't feel as much but when I got it to the side of the boat it started to kick,'' Smith recalls. "It bit into all my hand, nearly took my hand off but it's all healed now."
