Michael Smith leaves darts manufacturer Unicorn after ten years

Michael Smith is getting a new supplier for his arrows. Darts manufacturer Unicorn Darts announced on Friday that the two long-time partners are splitting.

"From Contender to World Champion," Unicorn wrote on their official Twitter account in an announcement. "Today we say goodbye to Bully Boy, Michael Smith. For 10 years we have watched you become a superstar and are very proud to have supported you on your journey."

"We thank Michael for all he has done for Unicorn and wish him well for the future." the post concludes.

A new sponsorship deal with another darts manufacturer already seems to be in the making for the world number one. The darts brand Shot came out with several teasers in recent days announcing that a new player will be presented on Saturday 1 July.
