Michael Smith had to pull his car over last weekend for a remarkable reason. 'Bullyboy' had police after him in Ireland but not for misdemeanours.
But because the policemen in the car were fans of 'Bullyboy' and wanted to take a selfie with Smith.
Smith shared his story of the incident on Twitter. “Doing shows in Ireland. And the first time I’ve had the Garda with lights and sirens on just to come and take pics with me.
"Was weird but made me feel happy and humble. When one car finished they radio in and tell them we’re (where) I was for the next one.”
These exhibitions came on a rare spare weekend for Smith with the European Tour returning this weekend after the World Cup of Darts with England's barren run continuing.

- I dont like individuals or crowds trying to put any player off when they are trying to check out, how anyone can think its okay for the crowd to whistle or shout as someone is throwing for a double is beyond me but it does seem to have become part and parcel of the modern game. I no longer play now, darts is as good as dead at a local level round my way but when i did play many years ago, no matter how intense the rivalry you never shouted out or whistled when an opponent from the other team was throwing for a double.Mysstree17-11-2024
