The period between the World Darts Championship and the start of the new darts season is often used by the world's top players to take a holiday and recharge their batteries towards the new darts year. Michael van Gerwen used this period to go with his family to the Maldives.
Together with his wife Daphne and children Zoë and Mike, Van Gerwen traveled to the Asian island, where they are thoroughly enjoying the beautiful weather. 'Mighty Mike' posted some photos from the break on his socials, which show the three-time world champion sitting on a water scooter with his daughter Zoë. The Dutchman can also be seen snorkeling with his family.
Van Gerwen can enjoy his vacation for a few more days as the new darts season begins for him at the end of this week. On Jan. 18 and 19, he is expected in Bahrain for the Bahrain Darts Masters, the first World Series tournament of the season.
