These 128 players will have a PDC Tour Card in 2024 as Q-School adds new names

Now that the 2024 Q-School is over, all PDC Tour Card holders for 2024 are also known. They may compete in all Pro Tour tournaments this year and various qualifying tournaments for the bigger tournaments.

England is still a leader in terms of the number of Tour Card holders. No less than 45 of the 128 Tour Card holders are from England. This is of course led by Luke Humphries, Michael Smith and Rob Cross among others.

Then comes the Netherlands with officially 24 Tour Card holders, because Van Dongen and De Graaf represent on paper another country as darter.

Germany added three Tour Card holders this year and now has nine players on the Pro Tour. In total, there are 23 nationalities on the Pro Tour. Compared to last season, there are now no Tour Card holders from Lithuania, Spain and South Africa after Darius Labanauskas, Jose Justicia and Devon Petersen lost their Tour Cards.

In terms of Q-School, it added a further representation for France, USA and Denmark among others with Thibault Tricole, Danny Lauby and Benjamin Drue Reus all joining the tour to make up for the trio of countries now gone. Michele Turetta of Italy also made history as the first ever Italian Tour Card winner to add to the list. Only five players also returned to Q-School and won their Tour Cards back straight away including George Killington, Radek Szaganski, Mario Vandenbogaerde, Steve Lennon and Jules Van Dongen. In the case of nearly all, they had form at the back end of the season and were unlucky to lose their tour cards especially in the case of the latter four. So there was no huge surprises.

But it is a changing of the guard also with many of the talents being either brand new or players stepping up after success on other tours as many of the familiar names failed to get through and means the make up of the top 128 is in an interesting place going into the 2024 season starting in earnest next month for most.
