Luke Littler has had his fill of darts for the moment. The 19-year-old world champion is in the middle of a blistering season, but after his World Matchplay triumph he deliberately opted for a well-earned holiday. While fellow stars like Gian van Veen and Gerwyn Price are competing in New Zealand and Australia, Littler is finding joy in a very different way.

The English superstar chose to skip the World Series events in the southern hemisphere. Littler was invited to take part, but preferred some time off. Together with his girlfriend Faith Miller, he flew to the United States, where the couple are fully enjoying their break.
His holiday is not just about lounging by the pool, as the photos he is sharing on Instagram show. The young darter now has over two million followers and regularly gives them a glimpse of his private life. He posted another striking update on Saturday.
Littler and Miller visited Universal Epic Universe in Orlando. They jumped on the spectacular Star Dust Racers, a coaster that can hit speeds of around 100 kilometres per hour. On Instagram, Littler shared a photo of himself and his girlfriend after the ride. Their expressions made it clear the attraction had left its mark. “Star Dust Racers might be the best ride in all Universal parks,” Littler wrote alongside the photo.

No pressure for a while

Although Littler is now used to tension on the oche, he is clearly seeking it again on holiday. The Englishman has long been known as a fan of theme parks and big-ticket rides. Earlier during his stay in the United States, he also visited Busch Gardens in Tampa Bay.
Still, the trip matters most because it lets Littler step back from the intense pressure that comes with success. In recent months, almost everything has revolved around winning. The young Brit has become one of the sport’s standout attractions and seems to start every major tournament among the favourites.

After his World Matchplay victory, where he beat Gerwyn Price in the final, Littler said he needed a rest. The constant attention and heavy travel schedule have started to take a toll. For a 19-year-old, the level of media focus is immense.
That makes the holiday perfectly timed. No practice, no matches, and above all no pressure to deliver every single week.
