A comical moment took place Sunday night during the live broadcast of the World Darts Championship on Viaplay, when a spicy photo of analyst and former darter Martijn Kleermaker was shown. It led to hilarity in the studio, especially with Belgian dart player Mike de Decker, who visibly enjoyed seeing his old practice partner being made fun of.
Kleermaker, who has appeared regularly as an analyst in the Viaplay studio since his retirement from professional darts, competes in a variety of playful challenges with other studio guests during the tournament. Unfortunately for him, he has yet to win any of them. This time he took on De Decker, but lost again. This gave Kleermaker's friends a chance to show an embarrassing photo, submitted as "punishment," to the audience.
The photo was eventually shown live on the broadcast, much to the hilarity of De Decker, presenter Bart Nolles and commentators Jacques Nieuwlaat and Frank Visschraper. In the image in question, Kleermaker can be seen seemingly naked, with a beer in his hand, while sitting in a toy shaped like a tractor. The moment created a lighthearted and humorous atmosphere in the studio, with De Decker barely able to contain his laughter.
Kleermaker was asked where this photo was requested. "During my little brother's bachelor party," responded the darter from Harderwiijk, who indicated that he was not quite in Adam's costume. "Nope, we had all been to one of those wipeout parks and were wearing those yellow speedos."
Meanwhile, De Decker no longer managed to hold back his laughter, and "The Real Deal" yawned with laughter. "I love this," De Decker laughed. "You have those moments in your life when you think, if only I hadn't done it," Kleermaker realized. So why did he allow himself to be photographed anyway? "Yeah, there was a case of beer in there by then," he said.
HAHA! Mike gaat stuk om deze foto van Martijn... 😂
