Scott Mitchell is competing in his first weekend of PDC Challenge Tour action of his career and he is already in the winners' circle.

Mitchell defeated Andrew Gilding in a 5-1 victory to claim the title with a 99 average. 'Scotty Dog' was only troubled by 'Goldfinger' when the latter was on for a nine-darter but it was still a leg that the former World Champion won.
This adds to wins today over Eddie Lovely, Cameron Menzies, Michael Rasztovits, Nathan Rafferty, Robert Collins in his performance of the day, Jonathan Wynn, Brad Phillips and John Bowles.
As a result he tops the Order of Merit with Collins who won the first event earlier today and a good day tomorrow could secure a PDC ProTour debut in a few weeks.
