For the longest time, no player seemed as formidable on one singular double than James Wade on Double 10. According to the stats though, it's now official. 'The Machine' is no longer the king of double 10, as Luke Littler taking over that mantle.

Littler as enjoyed a remarkable rise in the sport of darts over the past 12 months. As 'The Nuke' starts the 2025 season as number 2 in the Order of Merit and the newly crowned winner of the PDC World Darts Championship on January 3rd, alongside unmatched 180 hitting and regularly threatening nine-darters, Littler's prowess on double 10 has been a regular feature of his performances over the last year.

According to online stats guru Darts Orakel, Littler's effectiveness on double 10 was better than any player in the world on any double in 2024. "The best player in the world on any double with over 100 attempts on TV & stream in the last 12 months is Luke Littler on Double 10, who hit 50% of his attempts at it," Darts Orakel explain.

To further show off Littler dangerousness when sat on 20. If the world champion were to ever go inside and leave double 5, his success on that double was also particularly notable. "If you think that's scary, in third place is also Littler on Double 5 (49%)," Darts Orakel adds.

Fans of the 17-year-old don't have long to wait to see Littler once again. The world champion is back in action on January 16th - 17th, where he defends a PDC title for the first time in his career at the 2025 Bahrain Darts Masters on the World Series of Darts. For those watching now, extra attention is likely to be paid every time 'The Nuke' is throwing for double 10 and double 5!
