Murnan survives comeback from Klaasen, Van Baelen enjoys dream European Tour debut

Joe Murnan, Davy Van Baelen and Steffen Siepmann are the final players through to the second day of action at the International Darts Open in Riesa.

Murnan was 4-0 up and seemingly cruising towards victory but Jelle Klaasen fought back to force a decider but it was the Wigan ace who came through in the end to nullify the comeback from 'The Cobra' who showed some form of old in the Players Championship double header.

Van Baelen on the otherhand had a dream debut on the European Tour averaging 103.66 en route to a 6-0 win over Ole Luckow where he hit 3 180's and 85 percent on the doubles.

Siepmann finally had to withstand a comeback of his own going 3-0 and 4-1 up and having Andy Boulton force a decider only for 'X Factor' to miss five match darts and hand it on the plate to the German.
