Geert Nentjes R3 UK Open 1
Geert Nentjes has won a tournament on the PDC Development Tour for the fourth time in his career.
In the final of Development Tour 13 Nentjes was too strong for Niko Springer with 5-1, after the Urk-based darts player had already beaten Josh Rock (4-2), Xanti van den Bergh (4-1), Bradley Brooks (5-3) and Jarred Cole (5-2).
The Development Tour is the youth circuit of the PDC. This tour is open for players aged 16 to 23. Players who turn 24 during the season are still allowed to participate.
At each Development Tour tournament, there is a prize pool of £10,000 to be divided. The prize money is used to create a ranking. At the end of the season the numbers one and two receive an invitation to the PDC World Darts Championship, plus a Tour Card for 2023 and 2024.
