Nijman ends Nicholson's dominant run, Webster stops barren run with victory over Van Barneveld

Wessel Nijman has ended Paul Nicholson's unbeaten run in the MODUS Icons of Darts Live League which was at seven matches with a brilliant win against 'The Asset'.
Nijman who is one win away from claiming a third overall victory and as a result, overall honours for the opening week pitted his wits against another player chasing another Group Win in Nicholson.
It ended up 5-3 to the Dutch youngster who made it three straight wins on the day and he sealed it in style smashing in a 124 checkout on the bull to claim it.
Speaking of ending runs, Mark Webster ended a run of ten straight defeats by beating Raymond van Barneveld who was out of sorts in a 5-2 win. He hit 50 percent on doubles with a 91 average to boot in an impressive display.
Before losing out to Nijman, Nicholson as well saw off Andy Jenkins in a 5-2 win in one of the best performances of the week averaging 100 in the process.
