Nine-dart hero Wade continues UK Open title defence with Krcmar win, Brilliant Bialecki continues incredible run with Searle win

James Wade is into the Quarter-Finals of the UK Open after ending the run of Croatian ace, Boris Krcmar in a 10-8 win where he was pushed all the way.

But it will be a game remembered for Wade producing an epic nine-dart finish which raised the roof in the main arena at Butlins Minehead.

'The Machine' after having so many produced against him hit a fourth TV nine-dart finish of his own only for Michael Smith to hit one on Stage Two only minutes after him.

It was a tie where a break of throw was always the difference for Wade who went 4-3 up with a 78 checkout and kept building his lead including with a 104 checkout to go 6-4 up.

Krcmar replied with a 109 checkout but he only found a break back at 8-6 down only for Wade to take it straight back after he missed a dart to consolidate.

This saw Wade go 9-6 up and despite making it 9-8, Krcmar's race was ran as Wade finished the job with a hold of throw.

Over on Stage Two, Sebastian Bialecki joined Keane Barry in the Quarter-Finals. Producing a stunning display once more to down Ryan Searle 10-6, he is into his maiden PDC Quarter-Final.

This while only being 18 and not holding a PDC Tour Card. The promise has always been there for 'Bolt' but he is producing time and time again on the big stage.
