Nitin Kumar set for World Darts Championship return with Indian Qualifier domination

After two missed editions, Nitin Kumar will make his return at the World Darts Championship at Alexandra Palace. 'The Royal Bengal' was by far the best player at the qualifying tournament in India.

Three tournaments were played and the player who would perform the best in them would receive a spot to the World Darts Championship. There was little discussion about who performed the best, as Kumar managed to win all three tournaments by a large margin.

Kumar played a total of 19 matches, all of which he thus won. He won 75 legs, conceding only nine. The Indian showed a fine level at times and threw an average of over 90 in four matches.

It will be the fourth time Kumar will compete in the World Darts Championship. In his three previous participations, he failed to win a set. He lost to successively Jeffrey de Zwaan (2019), Brendan Dolan (2020) and Ricky Evans (2022).
