One of Michael van Gerwen's qualities is throwing a 170 finish when he has to. 'Mighty Mike' has already been quite prolific this season in terms of 170 check-outs.

No player on the PDC circuit managed to throw more 170 finishes than Van Gerwen for the time being in 2023. The world number three already threw the highest possible finish seven times.
Dirk van Duijvenbode is also proving very adept at producing 170 finishes this season. The counter for 'Aubergenius' already stands at four. Van Duijvenbode also recently threw a 170 finish during the World Matchplay.
