Noa-Lynn van Leuven wins her first tournament on PDC Women's Series with wins over Beau Greaves & Fallon Sherrock en route

The second tournament of the PDC Women's Series has been won by Noa-Lynn van Leuven. It is the first time for the Dutch transwoman has been able to win a Women's Series tournament.

This title comes a week after Van Leuven caused a sensation by winning a Challenge Tour tournament for the first time. Now the 27-year-old managed to beat some of the best women in the world.

With wins over Roos van der Velde (4-0), Anca Zijlstra (4-0), Hannah Meek (4-0) and Marie Fitton (4-2), the quarterfinals were easily reached. Van Leuven then won over both Beau Greaves (5-3) and Fallon Sherrock (5-3). Then Katie Sheldon was swept aside 5-2 in the final.

Van Leuven's title comes on the day two teammates decided to drop out of the Dutch women's team because of her. Anca Zijlstra and Aileen de Graaf refuse to be on a team with a trans woman any longer. Earlier, Deta Hedman spoke out in favor of not allowing transgender players to play women's darts.
