Noppert dismisses remarkable World Championship rumour as nonsense: ''It's not in danger, I'm just going to play''

Danny Noppert has responded through his sponsor TOTO Dart Kings to notable rumors suggesting that "The Freeze" may not play the World Darts Championship.

It was suggested by several people that the darter from Joure would not be competing at Alexandra Palace because his girlfriend is expecting their second child and is due in December.

Noppert, however, leaves no doubt that he will simply compete in the World Darts Championship and dismisses the rumours as nonsense. ''It's nonsense that people are doubting that I'm going to play the World Darts Championship. I'm just going to play that one, you know. It's certainly not in jeopardy, because she is due in early December,'' Noppert stated.

''The media is making it out that I'm not competing, because I haven't said that at all. I'm just going to play the World Darts Championship,'' Noppert said brightly, immediately dismissing all rumours.
