Danny Noppert has continued his superb year so far by reaching the Quarter-Finals of the 2022 European Championship in Dortmund defeating his compatriot and teammate in TOTO Dart Kings in Vincent van der Voort 1`0-9 in a decider in Dortmund.

The UK Open champion held his nerve in a decider and will return on Sunday to aim to add to his major haul this season.
To begin the tie, Van der Voort did so with a flourish taking out 135 on the bull for 1-1 and sat at the interval 3-2 up as he pounced on poor doubling from Noppert.
But Noppert grew into the tie and despite a 128 on the bull from Van der Voort for 5-5, he won 5/6 legs in a row to go 7-5 up with a break.
Van der Voort broke back though and made it 7-7 only to miss darts for 8-7 and Noppert took a hold and went 9-8 up with another. But a 56 checkout for Van der Voort saw him send it all the way, only for Noppert to produce a superb 12-darter when it mattered most to seal the win.
