Noppert follows in footsteps of compatriots Van Gerwen, Van der Voort and Klaasen

Danny Noppert was involved in the 50,000th leg in European Tour history last weekend at the International Darts Open, but there was also another personal milestone for "The Freeze.

Noppert won 6-4 from Dimitri van den Bergh in his first match, then was too strong for Nathan Aspinall 6-2. The former UK Open champion then lost 6-5 to eventual tournament winner Martin Schindler after a missed matchdart.

Those eleven legs against Schindler ensured that Noppert has now played a thousand legs on the Euro Tour circuit. The darter from Joure is only the fourth Dutch darter to reach this milestone.

Michael van Gerwen, with 3331 legs, has played the most legs on the Euro Tour. In addition, Vincent van der Voort (1188 legs) and Jelle Klaasen (1179 legs) have also played more than a thousand legs on the Euro Tour.

There is a chance that Dirk van Duijvenbode and Raymond van Barneveld will also manage to break this barrier in 2024. Van Duijvenbode is currently on 921 legs, while Van Barneveld is on 887 legs.
