Danny Noppert is through his opening tie at the 2021/22
PDC World Darts Championship after seeing off Jason Heaver in a 3-1 sets win.
Noppert came from a set down to see off Heaver hitting five 180's en route and will now return after Christmas to face Ryan Searle who claimed his spot yesterday by defeating William Borland.
It was a dream start for Heaver who claimed the first set 3-1 while hitting 75% on the doubles. But Noppert settled into the contest and took the second set 3-1 with a 104 checkout as he squared it up.
The Dutchman hit the front in the requisite set winning it 3-0 albeit despite 28% on the doubles.
Heaver had a shot at 86 to break and send the fourth set all the way but he spurned that and Noppert returned for double 10 to claim the win despite a poor tie on the finishing.
