Two more Players Championship tournaments will be played on Tuesday, Sept. 24, and Wednesday, Sept. 25. PDC Tour Card holders are then expected at the Mattioli Arena in Leicester for Players Championship 22 and 23.
Virtually the entire world's top players are also competing in the Players Championship duel. The list of participants includes Michael van Gerwen, Luke Humphries, Luke Littler, Michael Smith, Gerwyn Price, Nathan Aspinall, Jonny Clayton, Gary Anderson, Chris Dobey and Peter Wright among many others.
If Tour Card holders do not register, the highest ranked players on the Challenge Tour Order of Merit will be invited. Ronny Huybrechts, Paul Krohne, Jacques Labre, Adrian Lewis, Geert Nentjes, Josh Rock, Pascal Rupprecht, Leighton Bennett and Adam Smith-Neale did not register for the 22nd and 23rd Players Championship tournaments. Replacement come in the form of Connor Scutt, Christian Kist, Danny Jansen, Andy Boulton, Jimmy van Schie, Lee Cocks, Aden Kirk, Justin Hood, Richie Burnett.
A total of 125,000 pounds in prize money is distributed at each Players Championship tournament. The winner of the event will receive a check for 15,000 pounds.
