PDC Chief Executive Matt Porter on Women's Series announcement: "We see an expansion as the next step in the game's progression"

The PDC Women's Series is set to return with 12 events, eight of which will be shown on PDCTV in an expansion of the format first seen last year.

There will be World Championship and Grand Slam of Darts spots up for grabs and for PDC Chief Executive, Matthew Porter, he sees it as the next step in the progression of the Women's game and their commitment to female players.

"Today’s announcement underlines our commitment to providing opportunities to female players,” said Porter.

“Women’s darts continues to enjoy a higher profile than ever before, and we see an expansion of the PDC Women’s Series as the next step in the game’s progression.

“We are pleased that this year’s tour will incorporate events in Germany, reflecting the growth of women’s darts across the world.

“I am sure fans will once again enjoy watching the action on PDCTV as players battle it out to grace the sport’s biggest stage at the William Hill World Darts Championship and at the Cazoo Grand Slam of Darts.”
