PDC Pro Tour Order of Merit Update: Title winners Cameron Menzies and Gabriel Clemens notable climbers as Gerwyn Price drops out of top three

There has been more change to the PDC Pro Tour Order of Merit after the latest round of Players Championship action as some notable names climb up the order, including winners Cameron Menzies and Gabriel Clemens.

‘Cammy’ took home his third PDC ranking title at PC23 following an 8-5 won over Cristo Reyes. He is bumped up four positions to 27th. The Spaniard is also a beneficiary from his first ever PC final, but no to the same extent with one position gained as he sits in 37th.

The next day, Clemens struck gold with an eye-catching 170 to get himself back in the winning enclosure. He enjoyed a huge rise up the PDC Pro Tour Order of Merit, sailing from 58th to 39th following a first PDC title following so many attempts.

Wessel Nijman is well clear of everyone else and will be for a very long time. Having amassed a grand total of £314,500, no one is even close to getting within striking distance. Ross Smith remains in second following consistent form on the oche, still over £100,000 behind the Dutchman.

Luke Woodhouse has also been rewarded for his deep runs and vast improvement over the past couple of years. Now third thanks to that final run in PC24, he jumps above Gerwyn Price who has dropped to fifth. Chris Dobey moves up a place thanks to this as Stephen Bunting remains in sixth.

Nathan Aspinall makes a welcoming return to the top 10 as Luke Humphries sits just outside in 11th. Despite reaching the semi-final in PC24, Gian van Veen drops down a place as he continues to search for that spark that saw him become one of the best players in the world.

Luke Littler benefited despite not even picking up a dart. He is boosted from 25th to 23rd as Beau Greaves drops a couple of positions to 42nd.

As we close in on the World Matchplay, it will again not feature Michael Smith in another bitter blow for 'Bully Boy.' He sits in 53rd after tumbling five places as troubles on and off the oche continue to halt his progress.

Other world champions languish well beneath their former standard. Peter Wright is down to 73rd with some money coming off his order. Fellow Scotsman Gary Anderson has not lived up to the hype on the floor this year and despite his sporadic appearances. He did play in the previous two events, but early exits prevent any movement upwards. He falls four places to 46th.

The struggles of Raymond van Barneveld and Dimitri Van den Bergh have been well documented. A lack of positive results sees the five-time world champion in 65th with Van den Bergh a long way off the pace in 92nd.
