The latest PDC World Championship seed profiles focus on a popular Austrian and a player firmly on the rise.

Last time out it was Adrian Lewis and Simon Whitlock and now it is Mensur Suljovic and Nathan Aspinall. All odds are provided by World Championship sponsors William Hill, and are correct at time at publication.

Mensur Suljovic

Seed: 11

Age: 47

Nationality: Austrian

Previous World Championship appearances: 11

Best PDC major performance: Winner - Champions League 2017

Walk-on: The Best by Tina Turner

Odds to win: 66/1

Suljovic is a curious one going into this World Championship, a player who has been on and off all year. When he has been on he has won multiple ranking events including the Austrian Darts Championship in his home city of Vienna and him reaching the World Series of Darts Finals semi-finals.

Despite that, he has been off the radar at other times but has plugged away in the ProTour tournaments and European Tours including saying after his win in Vienna, that he has his sights set on the World Championship.

Could it be Mensur's time? The bookies don't think so with him priced at 66/1 and a tough first assignment will await him no matter what with Ted Evetts or Fallon Sherrock set to face him.

One of the best young talents in the game or one of the best talents in the ladies game who averages up in the mid 90's more often than not. Whatever way you look at it, if 'The Gentle' is out of sorts, he could be in for a tough start to life at Alexandra Palace.

Nathan Aspinall

Seed: 12

Age: 28

Nationality: English

Previous World Championship appearances: 1

Best PDC major performance: Winner - UK Open 2019

Walk-on: Mr. Brightside by The Killers

Odds to win: 40/1

Aspinall on the other hand comes into it a year after his real breakout event when he reached the semi-finals and this year he comes into it with the pressure on despite him not wanting to put it on himself.

After a year when he lived up to the hype winning the UK Open and US Darts Masters, he comes into it not an underdog but as a contender. One that will likely be in the reckoning for the Premier League but this tournament as a result will be important for the Stockport ace.

He faces Andy Boulton or Danny Baggish first which especially if it's the latter could be a seriously tough assignment for 'The Asp' especially if he's not playing well. Despite that, Aspinall dealt with the pressure to succeed this year well and he will hope to take that into his second World Championship this time around.
