Kevin Doets has produced another Ally Pally shock dumping out Nathan Aspinall while the wonder runs continue for 'Champagne' Charlie Manby and 'Happy Feet' Justin Hood as the final match in the latter stages of the PDC World Darts Championship takes place later.
Doets has form for it and he took down Aspinall 4-3 in sets with a 97.48 average, 11 180's and five ton plus checkouts including 164, 121, 112, 106 and 100. Superb from 'Hawkeye'. Six wins on the trot for Doets over Aspinall.

Despite bounceout issues, Doets levelled early on but Aspinall took the opening set breaking at an opportune time to seal the set with a 76 checkout.

Doets pinned double eight to go one away from the second set. Aspinall missed 68 but didn't have much else coming back as he made it 2-2 and needed a break for the second set. Aspinall missed 117 for the set and Doets took out double eight.
Aspinall opened the third set on double two it. Aspinall hit an 85 checkout albeit he looked a bit hot and bothered and flustered up there albeit he took a 2-0 lead in set three. Aspinall missed the second double eight and Doets picked his pocket for 2-1 down. But Aspinall sent it to a decider and took the third set to sit 2-1 up.
An 81 checkout to break for Aspinall who lead and was throwing for a 2-0 lead. 168 to leave double four for Aspinall with Doets needing 167 but he could only set up and Aspinall hit double four for 2-0. Aspinall missed 108 for a 3-1 lead in sets and Doets got three at double 20 only to miss all three but so did Asp as Doets hit double 10 to go 2-1 down.
A 121 checkout saw Doets suddenly throw for it and he hit double one finally for the set. Aspinall began set five with a 150 checkout. Doets broke for 2-1 and was throwing for the set. Aspinall won the set pinning 170. Doets went one set away with a 164 checkout and he hit an incredible 96 checkout using two double 19's. Aspinall set himself up but Doets hit double 10 to seal the win.

Charlie Manby continues champagne run

Manby faced off against Ricky Evans and sealed a 4-2 win against the Kettering high flying quick thrower who seemed to have issues late on and fell apart as his run of not reaching the Last 16 continue.
For 'Champagne', he continued a landmark run at Ally Pally and could now face Gian van Veen in the Last 16.
To start, Manby hit a 57 checkout to level up at 1-1 and was gunning for the Evans throw. Manby missed 110 but Evans couldn't pin the bull for 84 albeit Manby missed more darts to break and Evans hit double eight off 25 for 2-1. Evans hit double two to seal the opening set and broke to go 2-1 up and was one away from the second set.
Manby broke on double nine and was throwing for the set. A 25 checkout and Manby made it 1-1. Manby was first to a finish but missed darts and Evans hit a 134 to hold. Manby missed double 19 and Evans hit back. Manby missed 127 and three darts to break after Evans missed a chance and Evans was 2-1 up in sets. Doubles continued to be their achilles heel as Manby eventually pinned double one after both had missed droves. An 85 checkout for Evans saw him quick as you like to draw level at 1-1.
The quickest 180 at that juncture from Evans but Manby hit double 20 to go one away from drawing it level at 2-1. Double 20 for Evans and to a decider it went. Manby hit double 10 for the set pinning 48 to make it 2-2. 
Manby started superbly in a pivotal set hitting a ten darter on double 18. Evans hit a 68 checkout though to render that Manby 10-darter irrelevant though and he was now throwing for 2-1. Manby then broke straight back going 2-1 up and was throwing for a 3-2 lead. Manby missed three at double 16 but Evans had thrown 15 darts without getting past the halfway line and 'Champagne' eventually hit double 16 for 3-2 up.
A 180 and 42 checkout saw Manby go two away at 1-0 and he sealed the win from there. What a game could be in store between Champagne and GVV The Giant.

Dream revives for Hood

While the dream is still alive for 'Happy Feet' Justin Hood of owning a Chinese restaurant. He saw off Ryan Meikle who could not reproduce the heroics that saw him come back to see off Jonny Tata.
Hood missed droves of darts at double to hold and open the tie and Meikle hit a double double 100 checkout to lead the way and break. Hood hit back with a 115 checkout to settle himself down on double 20. He drew level at 1-1 in the early going.
Hood hit 180 and eventually double one but Meikle hit back to level up at 2-2 as Hood was throwing for the first set. Hood responded to his poor start with a 64 checkout to lead 1-0 in the race to four against Meikle.
Hood broke to start set two and Meikle broke back to make it 1-1 pinning double 10. Hood hit a superb 128 checkout on the bull as Meikle waited on a finish. Hood missed set darts but Meikle could not pin 164 and he returned for double one clipping the dart in just about.
Meikle missed darts to seal a break and Hood cashed in holding throw to lead the third set. A fourth maximum for Hood and a 124 checkout on the bull saw Hood surge 2-0 up in the third set in the race to four. Meikle missed 121 on the bull and Hood returned for double 10 for 3-0. 
Hood had chances to break off 98 and Meikle was given just a shot at 68 and he held after missed break chances. Hood though returned to hit double 14 to draw level at 1-1. Meikle hit a 146 though to keep himself alive as Hood was throwing to send it to a decider. A 147 checkout saw Meikle take the set amid Hood being sat waiting for a chance to send it all the way. A 70 checkout saw Hood lead set five. But Meikle hit back with 75. 
Hood missed 120 on double 10 but he missed further darts and gave Meikle got a poke at 66 on double 20 which he missed for a break and 'Happy Feet' returned for double five. But Hood sealed the 4-1 win.
