Peter Wright crowned Nordic Darts Masters Champion after dominant victory

Peter Wright is the PDC Nordic Darts Masters champion thanks to an 11-5 win over Gerwyn Price in the final in Copenhagen.

Starting in style, Snakebite held throw in the opener with a 104 finish, his first ton-plus checkout of the tournament so far. He wouldn't have to wait long for his second, going 2-0 with a brilliant 149 finish. Price would pass up an opportunity to get on the board in the 4th before a third ton-plus finish in five legs would see Wright enter the first break 5-0 up.

Price would finally open his account in the first leg after the break but Wright was still more than comfortable, edging out the second session by 3 legs to 2, increasing his overall lead to 8-2, just three legs away from claiming the title.

After Wright moved to two legs away, Price showed some fight to fire in a ton-plus checkout of his own with a 140 finish to make it 9-3. The Welshman would then break throw to get another leg on the board at 9-4 before a brilliant 156 checkout from Price would keep the momentum on his side with a third straight leg. Snakebite took the last leg of the session however to go into the break just one leg away at 10-5.

Returning after the break, Wright would need just a single leg to seal the deal and become Nordic Darts Master for the first time in his career.
