On Friday 20 January and Saturday 21 January, the very first edition of the Nordic Darts Masters is scheduled to take place in the Danish capital Copenhagen. The prize pool for this event includes a total of £60,000.
Eight PDC players will compete at the Nordic Darts Masters against eight players from the Nordic and Baltic countries.
The field of participants includes Michael van Gerwen, Dimitri van den Bergh and the brand new world champion Michael Smith. On behalf of the local qualifiers, Tour Card holders Madars Razma and Darius Labanauskas, among others, will enter.
The winner of this World Series tournament will go home with a cheque for £20,000. The runner-up will receive £10,000. All 16 participants are guaranteed £1250 in prize money anyway.
