Petersen equals 180 record set by Taylor at European Championship

Thanks to a barrage of 180's, Devon Petersen reached the semi-finals at the European Championship on Saturday evening. The many 180's hit even gave ‘The African Warrior’ a record.

Petersen managed to hit the highest possible score no less than ten times. Only Phil Taylor previously managed to hit ten 180’s in a quarter final at the European Championship Darts, in which the best of 19 legs are played.

Taylor did this during the 2009 edition, in a match in which he averaged 118.14 against Gary Anderson. Incidentally, The Power won that tournament with an impressive tournament average of 111.54.
