Devon Petersen is the final player through to the semi-finals at the European Championship after a stunning display to see off Ian White.
Petersen claimed a brilliant 10-6 win coming from 5-3 down to see off ‘Diamond’ with 10 180’s and a 106 average in the best display of the tournament so far.
White had the upper hand to begin the tie leading the first break 3-2 and pouncing on just 2/13 on the doubles from Petersen despite an average of 83 to the latter’s 100.
He hit a 105 and 128 checkout to lead proceedings 5-3 as he looked to take the game away from Petersen.
Petersen though began to get himself back into the tie with a 106 checkout for a 12-darter to make it 5-4 and it was soon level at the next interval.
A pivotal 143 checkout saw Petersen claim a break of throw to go 7-6 up and powered clear from there to go one away with an 11-darter.
This brilliant end to the tie was concluded as Petersen hit double eight to win through.
