A lot has been made about Devon Petersen's rise and form in 2020 which saw him win his first PDC title at the German Darts Championship but he has revealed a new technique he has used.
As well as help from Wayne Mardle and Colin Lloyd on aspects of his game, Petersen revealed meditation has also been a help ahead of his World Grand Prix debut.
"Over the past 7-8 weeks, I've been working on personal development and I stumbled across meditation. There's a few things that I do before games and whilst I'm practice. Everybody else listens to music, I don't, I listen to meditation tapes," said Petersen to Sky Sports.
"The likes of Colin Lloyd have given me input and advice and experience as well, Wayne (Mardle) has. All of these things from a mental perspective, I mean the game is played most of the time between the ears anyway when you're on stage. So if you can keep that part clear."
"The meditation side, it's fantastic. If players I hope they don't catch onto it so that I can then continue to win as much as I do but if they do, I'm happy I'm competing against the best players in the world and they'll be the best and it'll take the game to the next level."
