Luke Humphries and Rob Cross are the last two quarterfinalists at the
German Darts Championship. Humphries in particular impressed in his match in the last sixteen of the Euro Tour tournament in Hildesheim.
Humphries managed to throw an average of 111 in his match against James Wade. 'Cool Hand Luke' broke Wade in the first leg with a 96 finish and then managed to take a 4-0 lead with an 11-darter and a 12-darter. A 13-darter brought the score to 5-0, before Humphries then threw a 77 finish for a whitewash against 'The Machine'.
In the quarter-finals Humphries will play against former world champion Cross, who beat current world champion Michael Smith. The latter managed to come back to 5-5 after falling behind 3-5, but Cross had the advantage of starting the last leg. With a 15-darter, 'Voltage' secured the victory.
