The Last 16 line-up continues to take shape at the 2022
German Darts Grand Prix with Wesley Plaisier continuing his brilliant run in Munich.
Plaisier who averaged 104 yesterday in his opener backed it up with a 6-4 success to dump out sixth seed, Joe Cullen.
While not at the same standard, he hit a 93 average, two 180's and despite 50% on the doubles from Cullen, he couldn't get going on his scoring which allowed the associate member qualifier to edge through. He will now go Double Dutch with Dirk van Duijvenbode awaiting tomorrow.
While Jeffrey de Zwaan gave up a 4-2 lead to lose out 6-4 to Luke Humphries who kept his cool to edge through despite 'The Black Cobra' hitting six maximums throughout the tie.
After a resurgent start to the weekend, his run ends at the hands of Humphries who could face another Dutchman in Berry van Peer or Michael Smith tomorrow.
