Wright put in the performance of the round smashing in a 103.4 average in easing past Jonny Clayton 6-2.
White edged out Jose de Sousa who had previously put himself in the position as firmly the player to beat after hitting a 114 average in the previous round. He takes on Joe Cullen in the next round who he came from the brink against during the World Grand Prix. Will it be repeat or revenge?
Dave Chisnall also had another repeat of a World Grand Prix tie once again seeing off Stephen Bunting, his close friend and fellow St Helens thrower 6-5. Gerwyn Price and Krzysztof Ratajski who had needle last time out are also through after wins over Devon Petersen and Michael Smith respectively.
Brendan Dolan a winner earlier in the year has also put himself in the position to win again having seen off the in-form Callan Rydz in a good performance with a 6-2 win (99.2 average).
