Sixteen players are left in the battle for title at the World Series of Darts Finals at the AFAS Live in Amsterdam.
Michael van Gerwen returns to action in front of his home crowd with three Dutchman involved tonight. Van Gerwen will take on William O'Connor. After that, Raymond van Barneveld takes to the stage for his clash against reigning world champion Michael Smith.
Danny Noppert plays against World Matchplay champion Nathan Aspinall. The evening session kicks off with a duel between Rob Cross and Jonny Clayton, before Luke Humphries and Krzysztof Ratajski face off. Gerwyn Price plays against Keegan Brown in the first round. Peter Wright takes on against Haupai Puha, while the evening session is closed by Dimitri van den Bergh and Ricky Evans.
The tournament will be broadcast in its entirety by ITV. The three evening broadcasts will begin a little before 6 p.m. each time. On Sunday afternoon, the broadcast will begin at 11:40am.
The prize pool for this event contains a total of 300,000 pounds. However, the prize money won does not count toward the PDC Order of Merit or other money rankings.
All participants are guaranteed £5,000 in prize money. This amount could eventually rise to a sum of £70,000 in prize money for the winner.
The World Series tournaments are international events of the PDC organized to promote the sport beyond the (Western) European borders.
Earlier this year, tournaments also took place in Bahrain, Denmark, the United States, Poland, New Zealand and Australia. Past World Series tournaments have also been scheduled in Dubai, Singapore, Japan, Scotland, China, Germany and Austria.
