Diogo Portela played at the WDF Antwerp Open last weekend. The Brazilian reached the quarterfinals.
Portela enjoyed his stay in Antwerp. "I'm really enjoying it, I'm seeing some old friends here. We came here two days before the tournament, me and my family and friends and I'm having a really good time. The darts puts it all together, I had a great result yesterday and I'm feeling good," said Portela to Darts Actueel.
"My wife and my daughter are here. On Wednesday was my wife's birthday so I treat her with a holiday in Antwerp. It's been fantastic, we met another couple from Brazil. It's a group of eight now, it's been so much fun."
In his personal life, Portela admits personal issues have now been solved and now has his sights sets on the PDC.
"My darts has been up and down. It's not been the way I want it but a lot of the personal problems I had I solved them. I am in a lot better spot in my personal life now and my darts are coming back together."
"The future it looks better than ever. I do believe I'm close enough to my best but I can be better than I ever was. I want to challenge the pros again one more time."
