With the Christmas break from the 2020/21 PDC World Darts Championship now underway, the schedule for the Third Round has been released ahead of action resuming on Sunday December 27 at the Alexandra Palace.
Kicking proceedings off on Sunday will be Krzysztof Ratajski taking on Simon Whitlock in a potential thriller, Kim Huybrechts continuing his resurgence as he faces 'Heavy Metal' Ryan Searle while stablemates Dimitri van den Bergh and Jermaine Wattimena will battle to end the afternoon session.
While in the evening, both the World Champion and World Number One in Peter Wright and Michael van Gerwen will return to action in a match which could go a long way to deciding the World Number One spot after the World Championship if a shock occurs.
Wright in his first match since his Grinch themed outfit finalised the opening night will take on the impressive German Giant, Gabriel Clemens.
While in a quick fire tie, Van Gerwen will face 'Rapid' Ricky Evans. With Joe Cullen and Jonny Clayton set to start the session off.
Grand Slam champion Jose de Sousa will return to action on Monday afternoon as he faces the in-form Mervyn King.
Dirk van Duijvenbode dumped out Rob Cross and he will now take on Adam Hunt while Nathan Aspinall after producing a brilliant fightback to defeat Scott Waites has Vincent van der Voort next up.
Another bumper session awaits in the evening with Gary Anderson and Mensur Suljovic set for a repeat of their brilliant World Matchplay final, Gerwyn Price will face Brendan Dolan while Glen Durrant will take on Danny Baggish, who ended the run of Adrian Lewis.
Tuesday decides the third round with the start of fourth round play. James Wade, Daryl Gurney and Devon Petersen all return to action.
Before Dave Chisnall and Danny Noppert round out the third round. From there on, the fourth round will finalise on Wednesday with the Quarter-Finals set for New Years Day in a double session while the semi-finals and final take place over Saturday January 2 and Sunday January 3.
