Michael van Gerwen has jumped in the 2024
Premier League Darts standings after 'Mighty Mike' won the weekly title in Berlin on Thursday night.
The 34-year-old Dutchman settled Nathan Aspinall (6-4) and
Michael Smith (6-5) to qualify for the final, before Van Gerwen was too strong for Luke Littler after a thrilling 6-5 match.
Van Gerwen is now tied with Littler on five points, but the seven-time Premier League champion keeps Littler below him based on his weekly title win. Leading the rankings is Michael Smith.
'Bullyboy' lost to Van Gerwen in the semifinals on Thursday, but was the weekly winner in Cardiff a week earlier. The former world champion is on seven points after two rounds of play.
Gerwyn Price is the number four with three points, while Rob Cross and Luke Humphries are both on two points. Peter Wright and Nathan Aspinall are both still scoreless in Premier League Darts.
