Luke Humphries has retaken the lead in the 2024 Premier League Darts. 'Cool Hand Luke' lost in the semifinals Thursday night in Rotterdam, but that result proved enough to overtake Luke Littler.
Both Englishmen are currently on 26 points. Because Humphries has won more weekly titles, he leaves his compatriot below him for now. Littler went down in his first match against Michael Smith on Thursday.
Smith would eventually reach the final, but lost to Nathan Aspinall in it. 'The Asp' therefore took over third place from Michael van Gerwen, who went straight down against Luke Humphries. Aspinall is on 23 points, followed by Van Gerwen with 22 points. Smith, in turn, is behind that with 20 points.
Behind that is a big gap to Gerwyn Price, who is on 12 points. Rob Cross (11 points) and Peter Wright (four points) follow behind that. Wright can forget about the playoffs anyway, while for Price and Cross, meanwhile, it is also going to be a very difficult story.
