After thirteen.nights, the first player is certain to participate in the Premier League Darts playoffs. Luke Littler captured his fifth weekly title of the season Thursday night, mathematically securing himself a spot in the top four.
Littler won in Birmingham over Stephen Bunting (6-5), Nathan Aspinall (6-5) and Michael van Gerwen (6-4) to pocket the weekly bonus of 10,000 pounds. Littler is now on 35 points and can try to improve the points record in the coming weeks. That record stands at 40, set by Jonny Clayton (2022) and Littler himself (2024).
Luke Humphries is in second place with 26 points and is also almost certain to participate in the final night. Gerwyn Price holds the third spot with 22 points, while Van Gerwen took over fourth place from Nathan Aspinall after his final finish.
Van Gerwen reached his second weekly final of the season and has now accumulated 20 points, one more than Aspinall. Price, Van Gerwen and Aspinall look set to determine who will grab the final two spots for the playoffs.
Rob Cross is certainly not hopeless yet, but with fourteen points, 'Voltage' still has a big deficit to make up. Chris Dobey is in seventh place with 12 points, while Stephen Bunting is still the straggler with eight points.
The fourteenth round of play in Premier League Darts will be played in Leeds on Thursday, May 8. Leader Littler will then face Aspinall, while Van Gerwen will play against Humphries. Price will face Cross, while Bunting and Dobey will also meet.
