Eight players are still in the race for the title at the
Flanders Darts Trophy in Antwerp. Sunday evening from 6 p.m. is the conclusion of the latest
European Tour tournament, with successively the quarter-finals, semi-finals and final.
It is only the second time that the Flanders Darts Trophy is on the Euro Tour calendar. A new name will be added to the list of honorees anyway, as defending champion Dave Chisnall was eliminated in the second round.

In the first quarterfinal of the evening, it is the turn of Luke Woodhouse and Josh Rock. Woodhouse has already played three matches this tournament, winning over Johan Engstrom (6-1), Peter Wright (6-1) and Mensur Suljovic (6-5). Rock streamed in from the second round and fought his way past Karel Sedlacek (6-5) and Stephen Bunting (6-5) in spirited duels. It will be the seventh time Rock and Woodhouse have met in an official match. 'Rocky' won four of the previous six, but the last encounter was a triumph for Woodhouse.
Gian van Veen vs James Wade
Next, Gian van Veen and James Wade will decide who will be the second semifinalist at the Flanders Darts Trophy. Van Veen started his tournament with a 6-2 win over Adam Gawlas, before eliminating Michael van Gerwen 6-3. In the third round, 'GVV The Giant' was too strong for Martin Schindler, 6-3. Wade eliminated Kim Huybrechts (6-3) and Leon Weber (6-2). Van Veen does not have the best record against 'The Machine' of the eleven previous encounters, eight were won by Wade. The last time they faced each other was at the World Matchplay in July this year. Then Wade won 16-13.
Danny Noppert vs Daryl Gurney
Danny Noppert is then the second Dutchman in action Sunday night. The darter from Joure will battle Daryl Gurney in the third quarterfinal. Noppert won 6-4 from Dirk van Duijvenbode in the second round on Saturday, and ensured the exit of Mario Vandenbogaerde (6-4) in the third round. Gurney started with a spectacular 6-3 win over Callan Rydz with an average of 104, before also taking on Ross Smith (6-5) and Krzysztof Ratajski (6-5). In the history books, the score is exactly balanced. Eighteen times played, and both have won nine times against each other. Earlier this year, Noppert won 10-2 over Gurney at the UK Open, but at a Euro Tour tournament in March, 'Superchin' took revenge by winning 6-2.
Luke Littler vs Damon Heta
Luke Littler has already been successful twice at the Belgian Darts Open in Wieze, but now 'The Nuke' will try to win the Euro Tour tournament in Antwerp as well. In any case, the world number two has already shown in his first two matches why he is the big favorite for the title. In the last 32, Dylan Slevin was swept aside 6-0, with Littler not missing a single arrow on a double. In his second game against Ryan Searle, Littler impressed with his scoring. An average of 110 made it 6-3 for 'The Nuke'.
It's Damon Heta who faces Littler. Without impressing, "The Heat" played his way past Christian Kist (6-3) and Ryan Joyce (6-4) in his earlier rounds. Heta, meanwhile, does not have too good a record against Littler. The Australian won their first showdown as recently as March 2024, but the six subsequent clashes were all won by Littler.
