Price after impressive win over Suljovic: ‘I’ve got a lot more in the tank’

Gerwyn Price continued his impressive form as of late on Saturday with a whitewash win over Keegan Brown and a comfortable one against Mensur Suljovic.
Price is now into the Players Championship Finals Quarter-Finals and for him, he is pleased to get through but knows there is still a lot more to come.
"I'm happy to get through to the last day but I've got a lot more in the tank and hopefully I can bring it out tomorrow," said Price.
"I was slow out of the blocks against Mensur so to average 102 is great - but I will need to play better to take this title. I won't take anything for granted, I'll just focus on my next game."

- Maybe the supposed top players are burnt out from the endless travelling and tournaments, I just don't think they have the dedication or outright desire to win. I think they are more interested in the money and being popular, just keeping their rankings steady. The only thing that mattered to Phil Taylor was winning, not winning a few games to top up the money pot and seeking the fans attention. Maybe there is too many tournaments now and the enthusiasm is gone. This year especially has seen so many different winners and unexpected draws and line ups.richieburnettrocks14-11-2024
