King confident ahead of Van Gerwen clash: ‘I’ve beaten Michael before and I can do it again’

Mervyn King dumped out Rob Cross on Saturday night to move into another TV Quarter-Final at Players Championship Finals.
King spoke afterwards and said that his back problems nearly flared up again so he was glad to claim a comfortable win.
He also spoke about facing Van Gerwen and said that from his perspective he has beaten him before so can do so again.
"I'm really pleased to be through because when my sciatica starts then you can't get rid of it, and if the game with Rob had gone on much longer I might not have lasted," said King.
"I'll rest now and get myself ready for the quarter-finals because I've beaten Michael before and I can do it again."
