Price finished off the afternoon session with a 6-4 win over Kyle Anderson in a high quality contest which saw a 106 average compared to 100.4 from his opponent.
The 180 count was high with four from Anderson to three from Price and 42 percent from the latter and 57 percent from the former checkout percentage wise showing how close it was in the end.
Beaton's route through wasn't as high quality but it was still a thriller with 'The Bronzed Adonis' pouncing on potential nerves from Luke Woodhouse to come from 3-0 down to win 6-4. This included a nine-dart attempt from Beaton as he looked good in moving through.
Gurney finally had to survive three match darts in defeating Danny Noppert claiming a 6-5 victory in the end with a 99.6 average and 6/8 on the doubles to boot. 'Noppie' blew his chance to finally claim a win over 'Superchin' and he claimed it with both hands to move through.
