Price averaged 106.8 and produced a 128 checkout to win in a superb series of finishing from both players. Wright even averaged 112 in the early stages as he moved into a 2-1 lead over Price.
Price though replied squaring it up at 2-2 with an 89 checkout and streaked into a 4-2 lead from there. Wright aimed to reply with a flourish of his own missing double 12 for a nine darter once again but gaining a 4-3 deficit.
Both players exchanged 127 checkouts from there as Price went into a 6-4 lead. He converted double five from there to seal at least a point at 7-5.
Wright stayed alive with a 142 as he forced the final leg and the magnificent finishing continued to finish the game as a 128 checkout completed the feat for Price.
