It was repeat in the end for the Welshman who edged out Anderson in a contrasting tie to the first one of the night at the US Darts Masters; with both players playing brilliantly in a thriller.
Price ended up winning 8-6 against 'The Flying Scotsman' and will now take on Michael Smith in the first semi-final shortly in Las Vegas.
'The Iceman' took first blood in the contest early on hitting a 12 darter to hold his throw in the opening exchanges. He continued in that vein by breaking throw despite two 180's in the leg from Anderson.
From there though, Anderson streaked back to parity due to missed doubles from Price but by the interval, the Grand Slam champion had a two leg lead at 4-2 up hitting a 13 darter to go in the happier of the two.
Anderson did similar to before but this time hit three legs in a row to lead the contest at 5-4 up. This is when the real crunch period of the match was set with Price squaring it up at 6-6.
This meant a best of three between the pair and it was Price that set about his business pouncing on Anderson squandering five darts at double to go one away and break throw. Despite missing match darts in the following leg, he was well ahead of Anderson and edged through.
Price did let out his trademark roar at the end but both players shook hands and showed no animosity for each other on the stage.
